I'll make you a deal: I'll kit-bash, you paint. Great vid! I'm fully on the heroclix band wagon, and I just discovered that there are also Horrorclix (stop laughing...the clix just wasn't my thing).... so looks like I will be making another order soon. Keep up the awesome work!

i really need to start checking up on hero clix and start kit bashing...
im not really digging the grey color. but as you said colors can easily be changed to whatever we want. those ended up looking cool and all. but im sure you could of found a better looking one with wings higher up... like the *drum roll* vulture hero clix ! granted its a man, but once painted who cares.

I just picked up 20. Figured I could use them as Slaanesh themed Harpies in my 40K Chaos Daemons Army as well as maybe see some D&D use.

I did them in grey so they could double as gargoyles. Also I wanted something as far away from pink as possible, so I went achromatic.

I'm starting to feel like maybe the Miniatures Market owes me some free minis at this point. If you repaint them I'd love to see what you do with them.

following this, i've gone to miniature market and looked at the mini that are for 45 cents and less. heck i'd even go for the dollar ones if they are cool. already found a few of them that seems worth picking up, including one that may not need to be painted up. with very little changes i think this could do well for harpies. heck aarakocras could also work. www.miniaturemarket.com/catalog/product/view/id/9625/s/hcuv-070/this one without any paintings, could be a shadow or a wraith. www.miniaturemarket.com/catalog/product/view/id/36053/s/hctt-013/for now thats all and i have seen people do hulk as ogres very well. so im definitely gonna use these methods for next minis. so worth, thanks for sharing these vids man.

You did survive the late 90's right? lolol Seriously between all the different lines of clix there is a ton of possibilities!

the "promo" hulks i used to make the dog boys arent around much , but i think they make pretty good half giants if you can find them .

Blastaar and Ulik would make excellent Bugbear models. They just need weapons added to them.

actually it occures to me that the emphasis here is on HROCLIX , with a mention of HORRORclix , but what many may not be aware of is it began as MAGEKNIGHT , which was purely fantasy based with some steam punkish bits here and there . you can still find mageknight figures on ebay , including the giants and dragons and chariots , etc .......

The problem with Mageknight on Ebay is that most of those figures these days are from the original set, which had the worst sculpts. The later sets had much nicer figures, but most of those have been scooped up in the last few years.
The recent MK re-release was terrible. The figures were less than stellar and were now only availabe as single figure blind packs for like $4 each.

actualy , most of the older mageknight sculpts werent as bad as they looked if you strip and repaint them .
many are especially useful for parts , and the "dungeons" sets were mostly monsters that can be easily kitbashed into something suitably grotesque .
