This is what I was up to last night. Had an idea, made a template. Then I cut out the template, made 12 copies in foarm core, and then cut them up, while watching Minority Report, the series. Cut a base out of the scrap, and then glued a Pringles can to it Then glued the whole thing together while watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Why just let them fall, when they can be pushed ? Had enough pieces left over that I decided to make another one.

That staircase needs some pistons to push players off into a pool of acid.
What?

Just add an acrylic tube around it and roll a pingpong ball down

Awesome mashup of styles and techniques from the channels you cited. Crisply executed, too. That sir (to me) is one of the greatest draws. Seeing how other people do the same build and taking the Chinese Food Menu approach to the Craft. Liking one or more aspects that a person did, doing the same for another build and incorporating the different cool factors you like and ending up with the same build but uniquely your own. Also, is it just me? You'll see a feature of a build that someone else did and it triggers a creative brain cell to make a build (of something completely different) because a single feature would look cool as a basis for some other build? Case above in the OP the spring trap springs.... easily inspire a sci fi build, a mad scientist lab (tons of genres), or some sort of reanimating device for the leader of an undead army. Always super cool to just spend a few minutes of down time looking at what other people are doing and see where the Muse takes us.

Built 20 book cases over the last 2 days. Cardstock book shelves are detailed and easy. Wooden bookshelves are sturdier and have a better feel, but they are a pain to fill with tiny details. These are a hybrid. Wooden frames with cardstock details printed on, mounted to foam core for durability

EXALT!
Where did you find the images you used? And what size are they?

I found 3 printable book cases from WorldWorks and worked them into 10 The images are 2"x3". I printed them, mounted them to foam core, cut them out, and then glued popsicle sticks to make the frames around them.

You might link to where you found it instead.

Sure, if you are interested in supporting WorldWorks directly, you can go to WorldWorksGames, buy Thoumont's for $11.50. Find the one page with 3 book shelves on it, convert it into an editable image, copy over 2 1/2 of them, edit the heck out of it. You'' probably want to remove the cages, skulls, and more skulls. Seriously there were a lot of skulls for a library, and I don't know why there were big cages in the first place. The original scroll section only had three rows, so you'll need to expand that. There were much fewer scrolls, so you'll want to add more of them as well. Then resize them each to 2"x3" and lay them out for printing. It should only take an hour or two, depending on how capable you are with photo editing.
