I'm curious, do you use a mixture of organic and synthetic materials to get these pieces you've made? If so, bravo! In not, Holy cow and more bravo!

I'm sorry it took so long to reply...I've been having internet problems. I use a variety of materials some natural like the bark, branches, balsa, & bass wood & some man made: insulation foam, flocking, plastic, etc.. They all seem to get along just fine. One of the things I did accomplish while I was away from The Forum was finishing Rapunzel's Twisted Tower & Goblin Village. I have QUIT A FEW photos to inflict on you; SO I may as well start with the long view of the place: ...here's the Tower with the Diva Mushroom (far below her Tenor is singing his Fungal Heart out): ...with some closeups of the upper level: ...the Stork's Nest: ...The Tenor & The flowers around the base...not necessarily in that order: ...I know he's not a Flower, but he had such a nice smile: ...back to The Flowers: Rather than press my luck, I'll continue with The Village proper in a separate post to follow immediately..or so.

That is seriously the stuff of nightmares - as I assume is intended! Not the Cthulu kind of nightmare, but the "everything is weirdly distorted" nightmare. Love the observatory, though.

Thanks for the kind reply, margaret! I have had a few Folk that have said my Mushrooms gave them nightmares...I think it has something to do with the generally surrealistic look of the stuff. The Observatory is by ArmorCast: www.armorcast.com/steampunk-terrain/wild-steam-creations/steampunk-mushroom-observatory...it has gotten more pricey than when I picked up mine.

I've mentioned that the flowers with the faces remind me of the original B/W Little Shop of Horrors movie that creeped me out as a child when I first saw it! They are very creepy!

Thanks for the reply, skunkape. They are creepy though. You don't have to be gory to be frightening, just be unexpected.
