I love your stuff. It's so reminiscent of Brian Froud and his amazing worlds. I can totally see the goblins from the move Labyrinth patrolling the streets of your urban blight board. I totally dig your stuff. You totally nailed it - I have been wondering for weeks what or whom deafnala's creations remind me of!

I do draw a large part of my inspiration from Brian & Wendy Froud along with Jim Henson, Tim Burton, & a dash of Terry Pratchett. The fact that their influence is noticeable by you is quite a compliment. Thank you both for your kind comments. I stopped in today with the intention of opening a thread for my miniatures in the Miniatures section...I have several hundred photos to post. Here's a peek of some W.I.P. pieces:

These are amazing. It is like watching a Tim Burton movie (if Tim Burton did a Dr. Suess book). And those wanted posters are probably the coolest thing I've seen that I wish I had come up with If I had skill I would steal that idea.

Very interesting style. I'm not sure if I love it or not, but it is interesting.

The whole terrain set looks really cool! I like the faces and other 'blight' pieces you've added in! Also really like the name tags on the bases of the miniatures!

Great stuff all around, as always.
But that observatory... om man is that breathtaking! I haven't the slightest clue where to include such a building in my games, but I simply have to make one and cram it in somewhere.
Please never stop posting Alan.

It's been too long since I checked out your work. Been too busy with science fiction projects. Sometimes you forget to check other genre when you're obsessed, and that's a mistake. I've already got a few more ideas from looking at your terrain once again. Thank you for posting, and thank you for making such inspirational pieces.

I agree, that observatory is amazing. It reminds me of a Wallace and Grommitt set. It has that style to it. I am not sure, as well, how I would fit that into one of my games but, man, I would try if I had that piece

Thanks for all the kind comments, Guys...they are all appreciated. grinningskull: being uniquely myself is my goal...glad you noticed & approve. @yauster & ogrestamp: I fell in love with the Observatory the first time I saw it. It took years before I figured out what to do with it. Here's how it looks painted up on the Armorcast site: AND a link: www.armorcast.com/steampunk-terrain/wild-steam-creations/steam-mushroommichka: I can identify; i.e., I rarely go beyond the Fantasy section of most forums. I'm just as behind in checking out your Star Wars stuff...I REALLY like the Space Bunny by the way.

I FINALLY finished the Knights. SO now the Blessed Order of the Gooey Death is FINISHED!
The Knights: ... AND leading the Pistoleers into Battle: While the miniatures are WONDERFUL little characters & a joy to paint, what a GLORIOUS feeling of release to have them completed. The insane part is now I can hardly wait to start something else...a certain sign of congenital idiocy.

WOW...just wow. I could ramble for paragraphs about your work, but it would simply be redundant.
Wow seems to sum it up. This is THE most creative I've ever seen. You should go pro.

Every sleazy section of The Blight need some Femme Fatale to stalk the back alleys. SO I added Reaper's #03311 Female Duelist to the mix. While The Girl looks better in person, I was pleased to have her done after she sat SO forlornly on the deck while I painted Dwarfs.

My Scotia Grendel's Goblin's Gate has appeared in the background of innumerable photos,,,I'm not all that good at counting among other things, but I never photographed it by itself... UNTIL NOW. It looks more like a Vampire's Gate to moi; SO I added Reaper's Vampire Mouse Familiar: ...the view through The Gate: AND the cobbles are now all carved & primed in The Goblin Village. I actually finished them simple to have a spot for the Goblin Gate photos...I'll skip the senility observation...this time at least: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

bluecloud2k2: Thanks for the kind reply. I'm still debating the final step for the board. The white/gray on black is my prime coat, but there are quite a few Folk that have suggested leaving it as a gray scale effect with certain key spots done in other colors...like Sin City. I've been working on the vines & flowers that will be surrounding Rapunzel's Twisted Tower: This is as they appear without the prime/gray scale: ...primed/gray scale: I have a few Mushrooms growing on my desk as well: ...there you go.
