i dont know if anyone else here has tried one of these , but igot one , and it ias AWESOME ! i dont really do air dry clay or any of the other clays , so i dont know how well it would work (wthout sticking ) with them , but its great with "greenstuff"

I've posted a link to their youtube tutorials a few days back. I love the end result and like the simplicity of this tool but I find it overpriced. I'm keeping my eyes open for this kind of structure/texture in everyday live items. So far I haven't found anything, but I this morning I ha dan idea how to make this kind of corrugated texture myself. It's quite high on my to-do list...
If someone tells you that you have enough craft suplies and you don't need anymore, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

if you make a good working equivalent , then post how you did it .
i thought the price was kinda high too , but got one anyway when i had a few extra overtime hours come up . NOW , i think its well worth the price , my only lasting complaint is that i wish they were bigger , so i could make MUCH longer tenticles .
there are just so many options depending on how you configure it .
ya it takes some pratice to get the presure right , but it is AWESOME when you get them rolled out .
i have some seriously cool ideas coming up that revolve around this tool now

Now that I am sculpting, a have been looking for an equivalent scratch-built version. I currently have a <$1 one, but it doesn't have the depth of cut that this tool has, but it is good for things like ropes.
I had some chip bags clips, (the kind you use for keeping potato chip bags closed) that had that texture....but for the life of me I cant kind them. I have been to a number of stores, but the ones I have found only have teeth on the outer edges of the clip.
I just know there is a under $5 version waiting to be discovered. Just have to find it...

The same here. I've been looking for some days now to find an equivalent in everyday life household item. It's a very simple texture, so it just must be out there somewhere. And if push comes to shove, I'll be making one myself. Just some swings with a triangular file might do the trick...

well when you get it figured out , let us all know , because i STILL wanta bigger one .
and there is one downside to having one , its that tenticles are so hard to make , that most of us go generic , but when you get it and try it , you pretty much HAVE to tell your self to STOP , because other wise you will sit there playing with it all day just trying it out , and will have lost all that time .............. and run out of green stuff .......

Here is the down and dirty version. Just roll a bolt over some oven bake clay. Bake and back with heavy card stock or wood. You could make several using bolts with different thread counts.
I did this quick just to show an example. More care should be taken rolling the bolt over the clay to get clean lines.
I just know there is a object out there that is exactly what we need. When my players get a riddle they have to solve, I always tell them to talk it out. Whatever you are thinking, say it out loud. You may be way off base, but what you say may spark something in another player that will lead to right answer. So I'm going to talk out loud to see if I can get a few sparks going...
The plastic shell of an internet modem or router a comb or other hair/make up product a piece of a mandolin or salad shooter milk and bottle caps an old Star Wars toy or model a piece to a board game a part to an office chair

You're totally right: I really had to tell myself to stop. I found the strength to listen to myself at about 20 tentacles.
I need a lot for my giant version of Mashaaf (see here and the following posts), and when I'm at the point where I'll need to glue them in, I want to be able to chose from as many different wiggling shapes as possible. The rest will go to other monsters, and several giant earthworm swarm minis!

sliiiiiiight problem though . i think you found a EUROPEAN solution ......wich is ironic because the real roller is made in spain . i have never seen american plastic spoons quite like that . and looking for them on the internet i keep finding more of the same . the US plastic spoons are either flat backs so they wont stack , or their side edge is curved . if i cant find some of those style spoons in the next week or 2 , would you consider letting me payapl you some cash to buy and send me a few sets ? i know the shipping would be high , but it was high on the roller to so .......

IF the combined search force of this community doesn't find anything online or offline that's available in the US (imho highly improbable, but possible) and IF other members from the US want them stackable spoons too, I can send them all to one US adress and the recipient mails them off to the others. Just thinking...
You're right, btw: the ebay seller is from spain. They ship to a long list of countries, but Germany is missing on that list. So what - I wouldn't buy it anyways...

You sir, have done it again! Pure genius! I just knew there was a way. I looked over the plastic forks I have, but they aren't stackable. I will keep I eyes peeled. Not only did you come up with a great solution, but you sparked a different way of thinking. I have a ton of thin plastic, and I have a table saw. I think I could rip some strips, stack them up, give them a little lean and then glue them together. Karma up!
Mine is on the way.....thanks for the post. Glad someone else found this as well and glad to see it works. excited!
did u order more greenstuff too ? cause your probably gonna need more fast . after mine arrived , once i finally managed to stop making tenticles playing around with it , i had to ordedr 3 more tubes of greenstuff !
