I'm going to try and post some pictures of my small miniature collection. Since Christmas is only a few days away, I thought I'd try "12 Days of Miniatures" to stretch out my collection a bit. First up, Day 1 - Zaric the cleric: here is the folder with all pics: imgur.com/a/ROXZ8and here are the Photos Day 1 - Zaric the cleric a few people asked my about this one. It's my current character in a Pathfinder campaign. The original figure had a large mace. I cut the mace handle off at the hand, added a few links of chain, and added the end to create a flail. Some super glue to hold it together, then painted it metallic. A flail is my character's favored weapon. The hood gives him a little bit of the "evil emperor" look.

Day 2. Elinor faces a gnoll. i.imgur.com/Z8IdQcb.jpgi.imgur.com/HnGwUvH.jpgElinor is a female fighter. painted this one over the course of a few weeks. the eyes were difficult, but probably the best I can do as this was only like the 6th mini I've ever painted. The gnoll came out pretty good, used a wash on him to help highlight the detail on the armor and his weapon.

Day 3. Orcs! Three orc swordsman. The Orcs were all painted similar, with just some minor differences. The shields came out pretty good after a dark wash helped all the details of the wood and metal show up. I did the yellow pupils and red eyes to try and make them look really evil.

Day 4. Iconic Pathfinder characters. Kyra the Cleric and Ezra the Wizard: I tried to copy them as much as I could from the Core Rulebook. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result. took me a long time to finish, although the bases still could use some work to complete. Faces are still a little tough for me, but I'm improving.

Day 5. Five Giant Rats Five Giant Rats. These are sooooo tiny, they are very difficult to paint. taking the picture and seeing them up close reveals a lot of flaws. tried to paint the bases a slimy green "sewer" like look.

Day 6 - Skeletons! tried 2 totally different ways to paint these. (1) Spear and Shield Skeletons - spray painted black, then used white dry brush technique. my white is probably too white, and it looks a bit messy. (2) Archer Skeletons - only used dark wash (left the white reaper bones figures pretty much unpainted). then painted bow, arrows, quiver. Looks OK, but not great. I probably need a blend of the techniques.

Day 7 - Ogre Chieftain. He's 7 feet tall, mean, green, and ugly. The Ogre Chieftain is ready for battle.

Day 8 - Goblins! Goblins! - these are pathfinder reaper bones, so they are green. tried the red eyes, but also tried yellow only on the second batch for comparison. the torches came out ok, but i think I can give them a glossy look so they shine a bit more. still need to pait the bases on 4 of these. wow- there is a lot to do to finish these up, but getting closer to being done.

Day 9 - Bathalian D'khul I'm not exactly sure what/who this figure is, but it looked really cool. painted it's skin purple with orange eyes. robes in red/yellow with a touch or gold trim.

Day 11 - two adventurers face a giant spider! the figures are all reaper bones. Vaeloth, Hellborn Paladin. not sure if he is a anti-paladin or a paladin who is bent on attacking hell. the other is Barnabas, human warrior. his suit of armor is mostly chrome mixed with pledge to thin it out a bit. giant spider is just my take on a really ugly spider I saw one day.

And the 12th day - Lizardman clan! these were from dwarven forge. a bunch of us chipped in for the caverns kickstarter and grapped the 15 lizardmen for $18 ad-on. just kind of left the lizardmen green and painted the weapons and scales here and there - chest, back, eyes. Need to to back and do the bases, but was in a hurray to post these. Hope you enjoyed my miniature collection - 12 days of miniatures!
