This is a little encounter with some Lego and some quickly made baddies. The figs were about $12 for six of them and the Lego was a gift.
I can't seem to decide if miniatures look better flocked all the way around the base or just on top with the base's sides painted black. What do y'all think? Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?
Thanks for watchin'.

Nice. I love the idea that any light source brings them out. It gave me the idea to include a similar encounter in my next game. I think I'm going to buy doubles of whatever miniature people are using to represent their character and paint it all black. Thanks.

I'll probably do an update on those in the future. They wound up being, well, really big. Which is cool, but a more modular approach might be more fun. I'd love to sprawl them out at a convention sometime.

They wind up looking like they're standing on a pile of rubble sort of. Thanks for the feedback! The figs are made by Gale Force 9, I believe. I got them from Amazon, I think. I know for sure Litko.net sells a comparable set.

I was watching "The Weekender" on The Beast's of War youtube channel and they were showcasing a 3D dungeon terrain set from Battle Systems.
This set is all preprinted on thick cardstock.
Anyways, I noticed that all their minis were all on clear plastic bases and how good that looked on their set up. It probably would look as good on any papercraft tiles, too.
Not sure how it would look on more textured tiles, but thought this would be relevant to the basing discussion here.
