I wanted to share some Mods I've done of existing minis, terrain, toys, etc. First up... turning a heroclix (actually Horroclix, remember those?) into a Traveller Vacc Suit. 1. Acquire at least 30 Evil Cosmonaut horrorclix from ebay (that's what I did anyway). 2. Cut those minis off the bases and put them on the bases you want. Then chop them up (the plastic cuts easy) and put them back together with your favourite mini bits from the bits bin. Also use putty to make the masks less evil. 3. Prime those bad boys. 4. I really liked the colour scheme for this set. I will make other colours for later sets. 5. Soon you will have a bunch of cool Traveller minis. 6. Have an adventure.

Mod Two: Monster In My Pocket Monster In My Pocket was a collectible set of toy monsters that were sold in random baggies in a local gas station back in the early 90s. Every time I got gas I got one of these guys. I had quite forgotten about them until a few years ago I found them. I've been priming them up and using them as statues. More: P.S. The Pillars are wedding cake pillars I got dirt cheap at a baking store.

The Park Square Building. Back in 1987 I went to Ottawa and just fell in love with the front of a building. It was a crummy apartment building built in the 1930s near the Museum of Man (now natural history). I really liked the lettering on the front as I had done a comic with a similar font for the logo. Great link to the story of the building here: ottawastart.blogspot.ca/2014/04/christopher-ryan-wolf-on-elgin-street.htmlLong story short, I took a lot of photos of the building and ended up using it for a card stock building. Nothing fancy, just a cube, but I still like the look of this building and use it often.

Hey, who doesn't love Gamma World? I made a bunch of minis for it last time I ran it. This first set of Hoops is made from a bunch of Horror and Heroclix as well as some small bunnies. I first decapitated the bunnies, then chopped up the Heroclix. The Heroclix involved are Blade (with a gun added), The Owl (with some magekight guns added) and the Lab Assistant. I think this is a Pathfinder werewolf with an added gun. The Hoop in the middle started as a Horrorclix clown thing.. I made the bunny face and ears with putty.

What did you do to prime the Monsters in my Pocket? I've got a few, but found that they remained quite tacky when I used my reaper brush on primer.

I had/have the same problem with the Monsters in my Pocket. I would prime them with a matte paint in the future. I find dry brushing black acrylic over the primer helps avoid the stickies.
