Hi, community. Here's a little project I embarked on a wee while ago. I ended up crafting 83 individual items (tiles or dressing) to complete the build (Fortress and Grove level). I'm just glad I already had a modular dungeon set completed! (thanks, DMG) I have tried to reuse items, if possible, in the spirit of 2.5d efficiency, but there is quite a bit of bespoke stuff. There are spoilers here, I guess. If you think you may play in this old module at some point, you may wish to avert your eyes! I am going to run this for several groups - there is a nostalgia aspect for me (my first 3e experience). Having said that, I have tweaked a few areas in a minor way to fit better with my Eberron setting - mostly changes to monsters. There were too many dire rats, goblins and kobolds in the original. I like to "monster zoo" it a bit more. A disclaimer: my mini stash is abyssmal and I had to craft some along the way - I get by on cheap bugs, cheap animals and my one mostly broken LotR orc set, with a few adventurer minis I've acquired somehow over the years. Note the change of adventuring party partway through - I lost my rogue mini (has since been found). Photo names refer to area keys in the module. Sunless Citadel - The FortressUpdate: Grove level completed. See this thread

Gorgeous work! Gave me some ideas as well. In the photo titled "secret pocket (2)" you have some skeleton guys... just wondering where they're from...? I like them

There's a bit of creepiness you brought out that needs commending, despite (or especially because of) their humble necklace beginnings. I absolutely love this hobby, and that's a perfect example of why.

Incredible work, i love this scenario, its a campaign all by himself. takes about 10 sessions to coplete if the characters play fast. incredible level 1 to 5 zone.
i can't help but notice some minor errors in the tiles though. the first one that popped up was in the room before the dragonpriest tomb. right away, the left top most alcove is supposed to be empty, as if something was missing. but i see you put all pieces 6 pieces in the alcoves. but as i said, these are minor errors, out of a huge amount of work. amount of work that i have to say is incredible in itself.
seriously, i tip my hat off to you. making that campaign alive must of taken much more time then it was to role play it.

Thanks, DnDPaladin. I haven't run it yet as I'm busy updating the module to 5E (thankfully not too difficult...) but little details like that are good to know.
Keep in mind that it is slightly tweaked in some areas to cope with a. my tile set and b. my personal adjustments to the module.

Absolutely beautiful work! That is a great adventure and I am very jealous that I didn't get to play through on your tile set.

Probably a couple of weeks of evenings plus weekends! Very anti-social, I know. I just made a list and systematically dealt to it. Good fun, though and lots of re-usable pieces, like the coffins, fountains, pillars, nests etc.
