Greetings, I have been working on a project based on the Labyrinth, the Jim Henson film. I've thought about doing some videos on it, but here are a few photos of what I have so far.
If you can remember the film, or know it by heart, you can see I've been working on constructing the outside wall of the Labyrinth. It's still a work in progress, I want to make the wall more 3d than just a 2d standee that you see here, but all things in due time. The square piece is the stone-framed pond where Sarah first encounters Hoggle. Of, course, the door, which I am looking to paint more ornately and make it look more door-like than you see, has vines climbing up along the old wood. I put this all together in a day to run that night, but now that the game it self is over, I can work on just perfecting the this craft for another time. Thoughts?

Most likely half an inch thick. Parts of the wall have the pillars within them, and the pillars I have taking up an inch square, so it would seem reasonable to go half that for the wall itself, with exception of the door.
For the interior, I drew on map during the game, but there are some features I'd like to do in 3D, but the maze portion itself, I don't see too much need to make 3D. A lot of the game ideas I had that were run had been based off of notes written by Jim Henson that didn't make it into the film. There was a puzzle Sarah was to encounter with square and cylindrical pieces; the ruins of a snake-themed cavern, and a few other things. The statues by the cavern I'd like to do.

for the goblin town , i would use the paper mache houses from the hobby stores , like here : www.boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/2965/cottagesfor the walls , since i presume you want to go with materials like cardbaord , but want some good weight and durrability , might i suggest something like i have here : www.boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/3431/cardboard-terrain-noobs-and-craftily-challengedi am trying to find a pic of my drawven golum , which was inspired by the goblin city door golum , though you could just use a large mageknight golum from the atlantis guild . also , i recall seeing a pic of some stuff some one had done useing the hurst molds to do the stair maze and the talking hands in the ubliet .
