Wilmanric, I can stop looking at this encounter. While I am not overly fond of using Drow in my campaigns, I feel a need to do something like this. I thought at some point you said it was for a Pathfinder game, but now I cant find any indication of that. Looking at the pictures, The character sheets look vaguely 3rd edish, but I see a 2nd ed (phb?) book open. What system did you run this in? We were running 2nd edition with a bit of 1st edition thrown in. I've never run Pathfinder, but I hear its a fine game. I'm tempted to buy the Beginner's Box sometime.

2nd Ed. AD&D is a bit of a mash-up: not everything was transferred over to the 2nd Ed. rulebooks, though they make reference to items, and spells, as though they exist within the 2nd Ed. books, but they only appear in 1st Ed... I've found that you really need to have a copy of the core books from 1st, to play 2nd. I find myself referring to the 1st Ed. DMG in nearly every game I run -- all 2nd Ed. rules. 1st gets pulled in, out of necessity. I've thought about running a strictly 1st Ed. game for my players who have never played the original AD&D game. I think it would be a serious culture shock for them, but it would also educate them more on the development of the game. I've discussed the differences with them in the past, but they have never experienced it for themselves. Muh-wa-ha-ha-ha!...
