I'm sure you all have awesome uses for those leftover bits of cardboard that get clipped off along the way. Here's one way I've put them to use, as stalagmites. STEP 1 - Stuff
Grab your bits of cardboard, your hot glue gun, some toilet paper, and some white glue. You'll also want your paints. I used a stone texture spray paint and some cheapo acrylic paint. STEP 2 - STICK ITHot glue the scrap bits to a base. I cut my base to about 7/8" square, so that it could fit into a 1" space neatly, but really you can just use whatever size base will best fit the scraps. STEP 3 - SURFACEWet down the scraps with some white glue (or a light dilution), and start wrapping on some strips of toilet paper. STEP 4 - SPRAYBreak out the handy stone texture paint and give your stalagmite a textured base coat. Usually I would do a base coat with a flat black primer and then hit the model with the stone texture, but for this little thing, I didn't bother. STEP 5 - STALAGMITE!
Do your regular dry brush finishing techniques, and you've got yourself a stalagmite built from scraps.

Nice tutorial. Great idea to use the scraps from other projects. I try to do this as well. I hadn't thought of this though.

Nice idea
After your step 4 you could also leave it as is, paint some runes in purples or neon greens on the sides and have a miniature obelisk too!

Totally. Lots of options. I was also thinking I could stick some googly eyes on there and make it a roper.
