Have you seen how in the printed D&D dungeon sheets all the rooms and halls fit together? You can fit your tiles perfectly too!. Here's what you do: (please give feedback)

Good ideas for planning out using as much of your material as is available so you have less waste of the material.

Very good idea for planning. I also love that you're excited to share with us - that's what this place is all about

Hey DMTucker, if you use a 3 inch grid of squares, this leaves space on every square for 1/2 inch walls - leaving a 2 inch wide space for corridors. If you don't use a wall then open spaces still connect and allow for another 1 inch square. Your computer modeling idea is great and useful. My idea with my tiles is the same, so that the tiles easilly fit together and all the walls connect. Once you have the tiles then you can reuse them for other dungeons and they will still fit together without many gaps.
I am going to do a video at some point on how I fill these occasional gaps with interesting tiles and space fillers in order to add atmosphere to the dungeon.
Thanks for a good video. DMG

2 inches. That gives you 10ft in game scale. My normal grid is 6.5cm with 7mm walls. However if you are going to use grids it is better to go with 3inches with half inch walls. See my grid conversion video.

So I finished the tiles made of foam board and painted without taking the paper off. Later I got another black piece of foam board and got the paper off and found I don't like that style as mush, it looks to light, needs more black(I'll try painting other styles to see if it'll work). But I still like how my tiles turned out.

The most important thing is that you like it. And you should, they look great I like your technique for bending the board to get even more texture - good thinking.

Never thought of bending the board DMTucker that is an awesome idea. I like the tip for the painting as well for the circular motions makes it seem more natural great job keep up the good work.
