Just because I was slacking off and not working on stuff I wanted to do a WIP. The stuff still needs a coat or two of paint for details. I zoned out and didn't take a pic of any of the cacti before hand. One is a q-tip with bits of a coat hanger, the others are a q-tip with twist ties. Coat them up with hot glue (which causes them to melt the glue at the base). Just a coat of white glue and cover with sand..... Just the basic idea of how to get the coat hanger bits set up for a cactus or tree. Waiting for the hot glue to change color to be ready to coat with white glue and sand. TP & glue coating. I don't really like how these turned out. Think I will just stick with the hot glue. Also primed, and first coat of paint. Picks of the foliage will be down the bottom. I have two like this to simulate a huge tree. In pic with the foliage there is a big flat piece of foam, and will glue that this monster tree. These guys need some dry brushing and the bases done....waiting for the green coat to dry. Flat foam inserts from a delivery package..... They will be glued on the exposed wire hanger branches and in some random spots.

I did sort of mangle the top of the foam sheets to get the paint to stick. Also sort of squeeze it like a sponge to get the paint to go deeper (got it pretty watered down). Should have something to show come the weekend. Just some extra paint on the trees, and I think close to finishing the cacti (except for the bases). Will have to get my camera instead of using the phone. Phone is not doing them justice. Err for blurry....
