Started to make some sacks for the interior of a warehouse. for the ones laying down i took a strip of TP 1cm wide and the length of one piece of TP and rolled them over at 1/2 cm mark. then painted them with a 50/50 water glue mix, i painted it on as to not soak to much. For the standing ones i rolled a small ball of TP up and dabbed withe 50/50 mix, this was the stuffing of the sacks. then i took another 1cm wide piece and wrapped it around the stuffing leaving a little bit at the top to act as the lip of the sack. this was then dabbed with the 50/50 mix , i find you can control the amount of glue well this way. After about an hour of drying i squished the standing ones at the bottom a little to give them some plumpness and character, i could have done this step a bit more but was first try. i think they worked out well. They were then painted black and then dry brushed a tan brown with a slight white dry brush after that. dabbed a little white and yellow on the inside for the contents. Awesome! When I first saw the pictures I thought these are moulded ones like hirst arts. Only when I read your description it dawned me that it's paper maché.
They go directly to my to-do list.

My first reaction on seeing the photo was also that it was a Hirst Arts mold. I had to look close to realize that it was not Hirst. The results look excellent to me. I am going to try this out myself. I also wonder if using paper towels to do the same thing might give a coarser texture.

These are awesome. I've been thinking of making some sort of sack to give my Inn's some extra flavor, and this is simple and thrifty. I applaud you.
