Finished 32 out of 48 figures, so far: Link1, Link2. I will finish up the remaining 16 figures, this week. After that, I need to mount some Caesar 1/72 Goblins onto the Schleich Fruit Bats (sadly, OOP), to form the reconstituted Goblin Giant Bat Cavalry (used rubber-like toy bats, previously; badly needed to upgrade the Bat mounts...). I've got the Bats mounted, but the Riders are off. After that, it will be census time: I either have 180, or 220 figures, total, in the Goblin Horde. Need to nail it down, first, then put together a mass battles game, where they can all have a little fun. To date, my Goblins have always gone down in inglorious defeat. Hoping the new additions will rally their (weak) courage, moving victory to within their (dim) sight, if not their (feeble) grasp! I recently finished off my Dwarven Army, including a massive Chariot. Perhaps a little, short Demi-Human vs. short Humanoid action will be called for? The Stumpies may be outnumbered, but they're rarely outgunned. I have an as yet, un-bloodied group of Lizardmen on Giant Lizards Cavalry who are chomping to get some warm flesh to eat (talk about, "a horrid feast"...). Perhaps Goblin Sushi will be on the menu? Cheers!

I am planning to schedule a 2e BattleSystem game in February (mass battles rules, based on 2e AD&D RPG, but completely a miniatures game, not an RPG) . It will feature a Dwarven Army attacking a Hobgoblin Army occupying a wooden palisade fort. My Goblin Army will have to wait a while, for their first blooding of their new troops. My hope is to schedule a 2e BS game around every six weeks.
I feel somewhat bad for the Dwarves. I recently finished a number of new Dwarf figures, including Ram Cavalry... The Hob'ies have dug pit traps, and covered them with sticks and sod, to hide them (Hobgoblins are highly militaristic, and disciplined -- they water the sod covers every day...). They will march out of the fort, form infantry lines, in the hopes that the Stumpy Rams will charge their position. I will give the Dwarves a Saving Throw (rarely used in BS games, but it's in there), to see if they spot the sod covers before it's too late. It could get very ugly if they fail to see the trap, before they charge.
Hoping 2021 will make up for 2020... Cheers!
