Just wanted to point out the kickstarter of the guys behind Tabletop Workshop and Gerald Boom, the guy behind shiftinglands.com and inventor countless uber-cool jigs for the proxxon Thermocut:
/description
This is for you if you work with foam (i.e. styrodur/styrofoam, known as green/pink insulation foam), or intend to get into crafting with that material. You'll get printed book and lots of useful cardstock and MDF templates, but I don't want to go into details here - go to the TWS channel and take a quick tour through their tutorials, plus check Gerald's homepage. What these guys do is outstanding, and I can't wait to have the book & templates in my hand.

I hear you... I took a longer break from participating in any kickstarters, but now it is this one, plus the Reaper Bones 5 (I haven't painted much from the heaps of minis in #1 and #2) and Numenera: Liminal Shores.

I am sorely tempted... I own a Proxxon, and I love it, but I don't build such complex models. I buy 2-D PDF's, print them on full-sheet label paper, and apply them to MDF, cut to size and shape. Also, no painting required, with my approach. I considered buying it just as eye and brain candy, but $60 is too much for a book I know I will never get any real use out of. I just can't justify it.
On the other hand, I am glad he is running this KS, with this book. The Proxxon is amazing, but Gerard's work, and techniques, are off the chart. Thank you for sharing. I did not know of this, until now. Cheers!

...oh shit. I just stumbled over these little beauties:
...and got a spontaneous geekgasm. Multiple, acutally - when I saw the leather face versions:
We do have a CNC mill at work, and now I might actually might try to get my boss using wood instead of the usual stuff on it.

Yeah, I've already signed up for Bones 5, I have heaps of minis to paint from 1, 2 and 3! But 5 had a bunch of town's folk that I really liked, so I've signed up for the core and the town's folk add on. ...oh shit. I just stumbled over these little beauties:
Tauster, stop it already!
