Fabulous! And for those without the patience to make 1000 individual books, there is always the shelf-of-books as a block option.

Back 20 years ago, I wrote up some house rules on Wizards' spell research. I did not know about the 2e optional book which already detailed it all, so I did my own thing. I came up with levels for libraries: Level 1 through Level 9, with the Level of the library limiting how high a spell level could be researched using that particular library. It required Mages to invest more money into more books and scrolls, to allow them to research spells (in other words, it gave them something to spend their GP's on, to advance their PC's abilities). I would say that with 1,150+ books and scrolls, this is most definitely, a 9th Level library, capable of researching spells from levels 1-9. Unfortunately, there is no matching laboratory with which the Mage can conduct their experiments, to test their theories on magic. As stunning as it is, it needs a laboratory to go with it. Looking forward to seeing that to "complete the set..." Cheers!

Yup, a lab is definitely required. Now if only someone would create that thing...
