I was going to guess corn flakes, but I think the pieces would be too big. A cereal with smaller flakes? I believe Special K has smaller flakes than ordinary corn flakes.

Very good margaret , dried oats. The paint could be better but this was just a test piece. I like the result better than stippling spackle, which is what I'd usually do, but I don't know if it will be quite as durable. I'm trying to mimic the bark of ponderosa pines, which are incredibly common in my area, & just looks right to me. I'm also on the hunt for a good method for birch bark but haven't found anything I like yet.

Life has been quite grim lately. In an effort to sell off an inventory that amounts to six years of crafting I've created an Album on Facebook for easy reference when selling in the groups there. I'm not trying to hawk my wares here, just thought you good folks would like to take a gander at the lot of it. Lots of pretty pictures. I'm not done crafting by any means, but I'm adapting to a vandweller lifestyle & storage space is precious. She's already packed to the gills with what crafting supplies I couldn't bear to part with & the finished, or nearly finished, stuff that was good enough & small enough to bring with me. Everything that was too bulky was offloaded to locals for free or cheap. I hope you enjoy my work. Here's to new adventures, Caspan. A side note: I spoke to Scotty recently about this little corner of the internet that he'd created & forgotten. He'd figured it long dead, he was surprised to say the least.

So I frankenstein'd together an elephant & a stegosaurus I found in my last thrift shop haul. It's one of my favorite things to do. The elephant was odd as it had a flat bottom that cut off around the shoulders so the bit you see is all there was of that guy, worked out pretty well. My buddy suggested making it into a beast of burden with pouches & whatnot strapped everywhere. I think I'm going to try my hand at making some sort of harness that fits up underneath & hangs over the backplates. I know I've got some thin elastic somewhere but if I can't track it down regular string will have to suffice. Wish me luck & I still need a name for this beast if anyone has any ideas.

That elephant head and stegosaurus look like a perfect fit!

Some progress made as far as painting goes. The customer would like it based as well, any ideas? I'd like it to be unique but if I can't think of something it's going to be pretty standard sand, rocks, & a little flock.

Tall grasses, clumped together, maybe from a cheap toothbrush.

I've been away for awhile but here's a quick look @ what I'm working on currently. Almost all of these are gifts I'm crafting for my new group.

So I found this toy on a thrift store haul ('The Lizard' from the 2011 Amazing Spiderman line) & finally decided to convert it into an arch demon or devil. Y'all have any suggestions going forward or know of a fiend in the bestiary that might resemble this guy?

You could re-paint him and use him as one of your world's gods/demons. Personally, I would use him as an avatar of the Lizardman god from the non-human deities from the 1e Deities & Demi-Gods book. Very cool figure. Good thing I haven't seen one in a store... Cheers!

Great work. I predict many, memorable, game sessions in your future. Cheers!

Been awhile. So I'm making some factory-like tiles for a friend. I recently bought some silicone putty for making moulds. This is the master I put to together to cast greebles/bitz. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Moulds/casting with hotglue is a real game changer.

Cranking out 34 cultists. Cast entirely in hotglue. Lot of painting ahead of me.

Very impressive quality for Hot Glue! Can you share how you did it -- preferably in video format? I know the basics of casting with Hot Glue, but you have really achieved not only volume, but quality! It is an impressive achievement. Cheers!

I posted that same pic in the tabletop Facebook group & it blew up with people asking for an instructional so I felt fairly obligated, haha. TūTōRïāL
Sorry it's not a video. I've considered launching a YouTube channel; I've got a short list of unique projects & techniques that I haven't seen done to death. But I've got some mental health issues that would make any attempt @ consistency on that front extremely challenging. It's something I'm working on; this covid quarantine has really thrown a wrench into that process tho. edit: I forgot to mention elsewhere that I went & bought a full-sized, high temp gun for this purpose; my cheap, low temp, mini glue gun just wasn't cutting mustard.😋

Thanks for posting the tutorial. I don't know that I will ever need an army of one figure type for my style of play. But I love to have how-to's in my pocket just in case. And I mostly prefer a series of stills to videos, so thanks for that, too!

A friend commissioned me to build some fantasy factory tiles; this is the centerpiece. I'm finally making some progress so I thought I'd share. I'm having some trouble embedding video so I'll link em directly: imgur.com/bbDXZhHimgur.com/XNJTszd[Let me know if they're not working properly.]
