Greetings crafters, I hope you have all been well. I haven't posted in some time but I've lurked in the shadows grabbing inspiration from all your fine crafts and Ideas. My recent project is to create a treacherous landscape called Dunmere (I think there is an actual place called Dunmere...however the Dunmere in my world is a very different place). The first part of the project is an area of Wicked Woods. I made my dead trees using the wire frame method, and I used liquid nails to hold them to a MDF base, the reason for using liquid nails is that it does not shrink as it cures which avoids the warping of the base that can occur with other glues. once that was achieved I sculpted the bark with Milliput.... once that had cured I textured the base with sand and used super glue and baby powder to texture the tips (in hindsight I will use baking soda in the future in place of the baby powder as I believe it will set better) and that's the project so far..
