My name is Jim and I've played games all my life. I played D&D during the early 80's and it was such an enticing entity. I used to own a game store in the 90's and did rather well. I now graduated college at the age of 47 in Communications. I happily now work for Columbia Games, the makers of HârnWorld. If you like it old school and medieval, HârnWorld fits the bill! I was told recently my friend Kevin (he probably used WarKev or Bimhut as a handle), used to lurk on these Forums. Sadly, he passed away about six months ago. We have an old-school D&D fantasy solitaire game named Dungeonunner we made together. Now it is his son, Ryan, and I have launched the project on Kickstarter. I was told DMScotty talked to him about the game. So my goals here are; Say hello to more gamers! Garner interest in HârnWorld for those uninitiated, and revive interest in those who remember See about showing off Dungeonrunner Find DMScotty Well met all! May all your dice be 20's!

thatjimguy, welcome! I hope you are into crafting... We love to see and hear other peoples projects. I am familiar with Harn, remember when it came out. It is incredible in detail, depth, etc. I've used parts of it (castles, and such), over the years, to detail settings in my home-brewed campaign world. Great stuff. The maps are the best available, period! Easy to adapt to a higher level of magic, usable in any game world. Columbia Games reminds me of Judges Guild, back in the day. I love, and still make great use of, JG materials for my 2e AD&D games. I'm a mercenary, though: I'll adapt any product which I think will be useful to my games. I viewed the KS on your new game. It is interesting, but I already have too many games to play, with over half my lifespan already spent... Gotta be choosy what I devote my time to. Cheers!

Funny that you say that sgtslag, I remember when Harn came out. Friend of mine back in the day ran a Harn game. I've also used Harn stuff to help me develop my campaign world back in the day, grabbing maps and other things from the game. A couple of my cities were made from photo copying the Harn cities and then cutting them up and pasting them together for the final product!
Course now I use Campaign Cartographer when I get the time to work on it!
