I want to create either one or the other. U have an incline that the demob will like a balrog which is fine. The archangel I want to look like tyreal from duablo... with the aura and glow etc. I was going to foil interior and clay sculpt detail for exterior ... just unsure on the aura etc ... any ideas crafters??

How about using DM Scotty's 'wall of flame' concept for the aura? Use a transparency sheet cut to a larger outline of the angelic figure, add some texture, in an oval shape using Hot Glue, and apply a florescent colored paint made into a wash (add florescent paint to Future/Pledge/Klear Floor Polish, aka, Magic Wash)? That's the best I can think of at the moment. Sounds like a cool figure. Looking forward to seeing your work. Cheers!

You could also make the halo a complete cut-out, surrounding the figure, but not touching it. Make it a rough oval, just a bit larger than the figure, with Hot Glue over its surface (will stiffen the plastic substrate). Paint it up, then glue it to the figure's base, placing it in the middle of the figure, front-to-back. Nice thing is, it will be visible looking sideways at the figure.
This concept could also be used to illustrate the spell effect, Faeirie Fire, which outlines a figure with a magical aura (could be used to outline any object with a magical aura...). Tougher to do, though, as 'generic' outlines might be difficult to create, as figures vary in size, and pose, so much. Still, it is a possibility. Cheers!
