DM Scotty- LOVE your videos!
I'm attempting to create a set of gelatinous cubes for my Pathfinder players. They take a lot of (in game) abuse and nothing says "Merry Christmas" like a jelly monster.
Note: this is my first "DM" crafting attempt! Hooray crafting!
I have two high heat glue guns (large and mini) and the glue sticks they came with are perfect and dry clear. I purchased a package each of the "clear" all purpose glue sticks. The purchased sticks are not quite clear and side by side i can see the difference. When i tried using them for the cube they dried with a sort of pale milky color. I've looked at the local craft stores and on Amazon and can't seem to find the right (very clear) sticks though all the guns seem to come with them. I have located an online retailer (hot-stick.com...i'm not even making that up) and so i know I can find and buy sticks that are "ultra clear" but I'm wondering if I am just not searching using the right verbiage?
Luckily my fiance is very crafty and suggested the clear Tacky glue and it will work but takes a while to dry and if the cube is already formed it does run. Hence, it's is not as good as DM Scotty's glue gun solution. It is cheaper and it looks actually pretty cool but again, i think i want to try the glue gun method.
I watched the tools and materials videos and I think I just need to ask, where do you get your glue sticks and what brand/type are they?
I've uploaded a picture to show what i have and what I'm looking for. The top glue stick si the one i bought separately with the clear one below it that came with the mini gun.
