Factoria: Thanks much! I made squiggles with hot glue and blacked and then ghosted next to them...little flock like crumbled stone at the cracks and voila! And thanks to Tauster I think it was...with the hot glue casts of figures? Saw that on here somewhere...the angel is a hot glue cast Works wonderfully, esp for something like that where I wanted a smooth back. Used homemade playdough dough for my mold, so cost zippo ex a mini glue stick to make

The spider eyes on the gateway, are... Chilling. The spider sitting atop it, really sells them as spider eyes. As a DM, I would make them actively seeing, sending the image to the high priest (if any), warning of visitors.
Love the spider webs. Beautifully done, accurately creepy, and dread-inspiring. Your players are going to love it -- in that, creeped out, filling my pants(!), sort of way... Happy gaming! Cheers!

sgtslag: Thanks Creepy was def the effect I was trying for. One of my players didn't show up last time, so she was captured and is being taken sacrificed by goblins to their god...which the players don't know yet is a giant spider-thing erho: Thanks! Started off just going to be gems up there for my treasure-monger player to try for...but they just looked creepy Course out of the bag of 100 random colors I bought there were only 4 of that colour

The webbing is a little piece of bagged fake spider web from the dollar store...anyone have any idea how to seal it so it stays stretched the way I put it? Since the gems turned out looking so weird, went for creepy but don't want it to fall apart...

This little dragon was just begging to be used every time I opened my bits bin...something else to add to the shelf of stuff that turned out kind of neat but have no plans for!

Any need for a Pseudo-Dragon Familiar? Nice dragon figure, though small. Perhaps a baby Dragon? Got any shape-shifters able to assume such a form? Perhaps some fairie creatures? Just shooting from the hip. Whatever you decide, will work, of course. Cheers!

Sgtslag: fairy creatures...now there's an idea. Perhaps will make identical table without the Dragon...have it be a mischievous creature...pop in and out of sight and cause minor havoc when the players are not expecting it:)

Any ideas on how to make these lights look more like torches? I failed to take into account they are blinding white Spoils the whole effect...looks almost futuristic and we play medieval. These are supposed to be huge doors to a pit. Torches on the corners and doors that open, 2-3 stairs leading up to pit when done...sort of Army of Darkness-ish...

Hot glue dollop on top of the LEDs and tease it up like flames, then hit it with watered down red/orange/yellow

Thanks erho...wasn't sure if I could hot glue on these kind of lights or if it would melt cords.

You might want to Llook for those 'fake tealights' with flickering LEDs. Take them apart and integrate them into your build.

Tauster is right though, the flickering tea lights are like $1 for 4 almost everywhere.
Dont worry about hot glue and LEDs; LEDs dont get hot(shouldn't at all really) enough to melt the glue, and the glue only a danger to foam due to heat.

tauster: I can't seem to make them work...I take them partially apart and then they won't turn on I did find some LED earrings that I bought to use as torches...going to just push them through a wall or whatever and won't have to take them apart at all Have been looking for a model RR book on lighting...they always seem to do such neat things with lights.
