This is a video made response to Dungeon Master Johnny's comment about the "feeling" of gridless.

I have only participated in three D&D adventures and have never used a grid. My love of art and all things creative brought me here. In my humble opinion grids are like flat boxes. Think outside the grid and always remember DM Scotty's imortal words "Go forth and craft".

well, if you are lucky enough to have players wanting to do everything you tell them to, good for you...
as for me, i rather play then bitch around. i dont care as long as i play... unfortunately, i once had players who just ditched me entirely and as a DM without players, who was the one who should of listenned to the players needs, was me. forcing them to do stuff is not something i want to do now. you may be a DM but you are not gods. so if most of yours players preffer one thing over an other i am often inclined to give them or try their way.
we tryed gridless, we tryed winging it without even counting. i can say, all my players likes gridless, half of them still wants a ruler, and dont like the idea of not being able to count stuff up. but if there is one thing i learned from my 20 years of D&D thru DM and players... its that there is more then one way of doing stuff.
