Cool :-) I'm glad the osquips are a hit. You know, skunkape, I had been wondering that myself. The beaks already look pretty pointy as it is, they just need to be a bit longer. Then it would just come down to paint.

The Dollar Store Manticore I got a bit lazy with the photo on this guy, but I have the flu right now, so this is what you get. I really just hacked up a bunch of toys from the dollar tree and blended them into the lion with hot glue. The bat wings actually came off a pretty decent bat toy that I wish I had more of. Turned out to be rarer than I thought. The head is from the dollar tree zombie pack, and the tail spikes are from a cheapy plastic plant. It occurs to me now that I should have added the spikes down his back.

Nice!
You need your own youtube channel, as do many crafters here!
It'd be cool to submit to a channel like collaborative submissions here at the forum!

I've been kicking around the idea for a while. There are a few things I'd like to make videos about.

The Gelatinous Cube I've been trying not to post any creatures that have already been on the DM's craft, but I did my cube a bit differently. Rather than hot glue up some clear plastic, I just made this guy fully out of hot glue. I drew out a plus sign on some parchment paper and filled it in with hot glue. At this point, it looked all spaghettiy and I really wanted a smooth surface. So, I put it under the broiler of my oven. Once the smooth sides cooled, I cut them with a razor, glued the cube together, and added the drips with still more hot glue. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see the tiny bubbles that formed when I heated it. Looks pretty cool to me.

Looks great, I love GCubes!

The Piercer Yet another odd monster that doesn't get used a lot. Couldn't even find a mini for them when I looked, so let's build one. Basically, the shape is a stalagmite with eyes. The book describes a set of legs beneath the shell, but doesn't really say what they look like. I added the legs to give them a more crablike appearance, but they didn't quite work out. I wanted them bent down, but the plastic wouldn't do it. The body is just a cone of toilet paper roll textured with hot glue. Legs are off a set of dollar store bugs. I also happened to have some mini stalagmites leftover from another project, so I threw them on, too. Also, if you needed a tiny roper, they'd probably work for that.

Even with the leg problem, they look so damn cute! Small and fast to make... looks like yet another one on my to-do list. At least half of the bunch will be cross-eyed. Piercers work only as a surprise attack, on the ground they're sword fodder. So the ones that don't hit any PCs will have a noticable squint. Can't wait to see my players faces.

Yeah, a couple of mine turned out cross eyed anyway. I have a cavern coming up with tons of them, so I figured I'd need at least a couple minis.

Fire Mephits! I like 'em! Hero Clix Fragment minis are good looking fire creatures. There are least 5 different ones and last I looked they $0.49 were each on CoolStuffInc. They have a distinct human face on them. If not desired, it could be covered with hot glue. I ran with this idea. They could easily be used as small and large fire elementals, but I'm planning on using them as Brimstone Horrors and Flamers of Tzeentch.

I got these some years ago (about 3 of each) and I'm extremely happy to have them. They are also great for (N)PCs who can change into flame, like priests of fire gods or pyromancers.

They are pretty cool and cheap. I've done a few great conversions with them, too. Turned a scarecrow figure into a wizard pretty easily.
