Hello my fellow crafters
Today 7th of Dec 2013 I got my very first glue gun. My mind begins to boggle at all the ideas I have. Im not quite sure what my first project will be. I really need to build things like carts or wagons but I want to do something bigger.
So wish me luck!

Have a go at one dungeon tile like a cave tile. Fairly large with a water feature or something watery :-) get messy with that glue gun crafter and have fun :-))

Welcome Gamesdisk!
I call it "fun gun" and not "Glue Gun"! :-) Enjoy!
Would like to see your work soon! Good luck!

I dress in full battle plate before wielding the gun of glue. For it is formidable, and it is hot, and it burns, and the fumes reek with a heady delight I have never known. May the gun of glue be as good to you as it has been to me!

Remember, your glue gun is a wild beast that, before working with you a while and getting accustomed to your hands, will try to savage your skin with hot metal and sudden spurts of molten plastic, it will send stray wisps of ultra fine plastic into your eyes and hair, you will get red eyes and wheezy breath from fumes and at some point, a pair of perfectly good trousers will aquire a small patch of soaked in, hastily wiped yet never to be removed, plastic.
We call it a glue gun, but really, it is a therm0-polymer melta pistol, unstable, ultra short range, hair trigger, self immolation model.
Be cautious. Be ambitious. Become it's master.

Also, make sure pets are no where near it. One of my cats, well the wife's kitten, attacked the cord on my new one and knocked it over onto me. I was shirtless and it grazed my stomach, it singed the skin as it brushed against it. Now I make sure that either the cats are in another room or I set the dispenser of molten solidifying agent further away from me.

Learned it the hard way. They haven't gotten hurt and neither have my kids, just the stomach flesh a bit and of course the fingers every now and again.

My cat is a pro crafter... Be prepared for wisps with the gluegun. It is a constant battle!

Nope, I have done the same.. Luckily though I have only had the misfortune of catching it and getting burned. More often then not I catch it by the grip or the main body.

Its kinda of a cheap-one. It has a little stand that points the tip down, and I find that it leaks a little.

Has anyone ever thought of crafting something specifically for their gun to just make it more stylish?
I mean it has to still be an effective tool, and obviously you shouldn't do anything that could create a fire hazard. But still...Am I the only one who has considered it?
Maybe those fumes really are getting to me...

I was actually considering making a 'craft your glue gun' theme if I ever won the Craftwar...
