Hello there!
Just signed up today and thought I would say hello and introduce myself.
I am new to D&D but am loving every second of it. My brother and I are learning the ropes together, and gradually building up a collection of miniatures and terrain. We found pretty quickly that this can be a bloody expensive hobby when you want to create detailed and immersive tabletops! Until of course I came across DM Scotty and his fantastic youtube channel. I went straight out and bought myself a hot glue gun!
I am new to crafting and am so excited for my latest hobby! Can't wait to learn from, and be inspired by this community. There is something so satisfying about creating something with your own two hands (not to mention the little kick you get when you totally wow your group with awesome sets! )

Welcome, Cherries ! Be sure to search these forums in the Crafting Tips, Tricks & Resources forum, in particular. Look for anything listing "1/72", which is a reference to 1/72 scale, plastic figures. Many topics discuss fantasy figures ( Caesar, Dark Alliance, Light Alliance, etc.), but also historical medieval figures ( HaT, Red Box, Strelets, etc.) for use in D&D games. They are incredibly affordable compared to metal 28mm figures... This forum is a gold mine of information on inexpensive gaming ideas. You will likely be spending a great many hours gorging yourself on the information listed in it. I know I have, and I continue to, even after being a member for several years. Looking forward to seeing your work in photo's on here. Don't worry about your stuff being, "good enough", to post. We welcome all. While I have years of experience, I aim for a lower quality standard, to balance my efforts for what I want to achieve. In other words, I do not strive for, "museum quality", works, just GEtGW ( Good Enough to Game With, or, "looks good at arm's length"). It works for me. Set your sights to your own standard, and craft away. Please share with us, though, as it helps to inspire us, and it also helps us learn! Just because something seems obvious to you, it may not be obvious to the rest of us. Cheers!

Welcome to this new crazy addiction of the craft . Be forewarned...once you start, you may not want to stop. Many great folk here if you have any questions regarding your builds or ideas you may have. Just ask away and we will help where we can. Also we have a thread here somewhere for those who maybe in need of some supplies or looking to trade for stuff. Give that a look too if you want. Happy building and cannot wait to see what you bring to the table.
