I'm alright for miniatures for the time being, but I've got the itch to line up some more if I can justify the value. The Gathering Arena Of The Planeswalkers Board Game - tinyurl.com/mjguvst(5 hero minis and ~30? assorted monsters, seen some folks painting them up some months back and they looked good) if it is indeed 35 nice elemental themed minis for £15 that's a buy I think. Caesars Ratmen - tinyurl.com/k623cr9Unquestionable value - ~35 tiny minis for ~£10 but if they're tiny and indistinct I'll pass for the time being. Caesar's Lizard Men - tinyurl.com/mnrq247Again with caesars, small but cheap. At a glance these look like they could double for Saurials (anyone else got too many dinosaurs?), kobolds and perhaps other things, but with any caesars the 1/72th scale is a big concern. Only really happy with their goblins, scale-wise. Reaper Kobolds - tinyurl.com/ksh8woeCan't find them nearly this cheap in the UK, but if I can get close they look to be solid for the price, two sets would be swarm material? Anyone collect dragons? The Dragon Attack Wing game looks to have lots of size huge dragons for ~£10, seems tough that there's not cheaper though. tinyurl.com/l4hxu7wIf anyone knows a cheap UK source for reaper minis, please let me know. (I see that if I spend £60 it's free postage to the UK, or like £20 postage if I want to spend £5 on 12 kobolds) The usual reccomendations like Troll and Toad, Miniature Market are essentially not an option in the UK. Cheers!

Cheers! Not being from the UK, I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with UK sources. However I can suggest ebay.co.uk and Amazon.co.ukTo be honest, some of the best deals I've found on single minis have been on ebay. I've gotten a great many minis by buying the boxed game sets off amazon (when they are on sale). Games like D&D Castle Ravenloft, Temple of Elemental Evil, Descent Journeys in the dark, Blood Rage, etc. come with great many figures in them. Hope this helps.

Cheers, the issue with getting the reaper minis from ebay is they tend to have £3 postage which is often more than the cost of the mini itself (which are scarce without a significant mark up from Reaper RRP). If that particular vendor you've brought to my attention stacks the shipping for multiple minis in one order from them they could be good value for a medium-large order though.
I've found the The Gathering Arena Of The Planeswalkers Board Game for £9.99 but with £4 delivery, wondering if it'd be worth getting two at that price. 70 minis for £24, would result in a few sets of 6 elementals.
Got the Ravenloft, Ashardalon, Elemental Evil and Drizzt board games, lurking to see if I can get Assault of the Giants cheaper than the rather beefy RRP currently.

Zombicide: Black Plague provided me with some nifty looking hero minis and gave me so many zombie minis of various sculpts, that I'll never need to be buy another zombie mini again

I tend to save up what I need and put in a bulk order from one of the online stores (quite a few on ebay), that mitigates the cost of postage somewhat. Even so, its a pain. You could wait until there's a wargames show in your area and shop there. There will be a small entry fee, but you can pick up loads of figures and scenery. Some retailers do 'show special' deals (though usually on quite large purchases) and I can usually find at least one retailer selling Reaper. Second hand minis are usually available too, with prices ranging from cheap to ridiculous. Used to be a good source of cheap Mage Knight stuff, but those seem to be getting scarce.

I'll try and get in touch with the Glasgow Wargaming community, see if they know anything about their events and cheap miniatures!
There's like... one shop within several hours of me that sells Reaper and sadly they markup fairly significantly from RRP if memory serves. Though I may put in an enquiry for some of the likes of Minotaur, Bullete, Familiars packs and generally stuff not covered in my collection already.
EM4 minis were the first I got! They look good and I expect as my skills have advanced I'll be able to paint them semi-decently now. However I've no idea how they modified them like that - when I tried to mod mine the hard plastic was like cutting through diamonds. My Dremmel saw took so long to get through it that after ten minutes the saw got embedded in the mini, wrenched it from my cramping fingers and launched it across the room.
Very nice cheap orcs and dwarves though!
