Question! How did you do the celtic knot designs? Thanks for the inquiry bluecloud2k2...
I typed in celtic knots at google, clicked images at top, found a couple I liked, sized them in my photo editor, then printed, then I cut them out. After I did all that it gave me a stencil I could use to draw the pattern on the stryro, then I used a hot wire engraving tool to carve it into the foam, then painted
Hope that makes sense

That's very impressive. You've clearly taken madness to a new level. Great stuff! thanks for posting matakishi
HA, MADNESS YOU SAY...yup, I've truly lost it
the piece I've been working on now for over a year dwarfs this piece in complexity and modularity, with a built in pendulum, pressure plate activated trap, motorized rotating center room, dual varying length operational drawbridges, fighting arena, or swamp feature, or river feature, removable entryways, and eye candy to help change the look...f'ing nuts I think, lol
Somebody...get me a doctor

Decided to make some fire drake braziers out of some bits I got from Curufin, a couple snips here and there, add led, add paint, glue on miniature dragon bought at Michael's craft store, and oh yeah the brazier itself is made from two pieces of hair curlers

Let's see - I have some of those mini-dragons and some of the hair curlers left over from making necks for hand puppets - must rush to the Internet and find out how to wire the LEDs...

You can do that if you want to, but what I did here... I got the flickering tea lights for pumpkins, they have a three AAA battery compartment, and its already wired, with a switch for like $3, sometimes I remove the top cover, dislodge the led, unsolder it, and extend the wiring by 10 or 12 inches, make sure you keep the wires on the correct terminals tho

Thanks for that info. The tealights I have are from the early days of electric tealights and don't use AAA batteries, so I will have to look for your type. I have no idea what kind of battery my tealights use, but it isn't very good. Of course, I could unscrew them and look, but it never seemed worth the time to fiddle with them since they aren't very good anyway.

That is simply amazing, and the lighting effects really bring it alive! Does it come apart? For transport or to use the insides? Exalt X2. The D&D equivalent of the football x-7 stadium(I have 2 little ones who watch a cartoon called phineus and ferb). I'm an even bigger dork than my wife knows lol.

it comes apart for playable level progression to the top, I will be sharing some pictures on that soon, all of the frontal adornments are removable for visual acuity during gameplay also

Hi,
Client here: Drak does excellent work and yes this piece is for level 30+ climax of a campaign that started in highschool and now Im in 40s (leave it at that lol). Blibdoolploop was a stop, but the arc PC's are on is my "Time Bandits" arc and basically involves multiversal war of life vs undeath/Orcus of which Lolth's regent turned to worship of.
I will say: Drak does AWESOME work and my party which has participated in some awesome adventures (I like to think partially from my imagination) is blown away when I introduce his pieces. Maldev always intrigued me from Q1 as a mass battle/PCs as generals war in an alien world and thats how I plan to use the piece--with "cut scenes" between the party split up in different planes much like a film (with jump cuts/sessions--where actions in one influence the others).
Drak is amazing at his handiwork and very receptive to my input on just what I wanted--ie familiar looking fortress but still with semi-alien feel like the Jeff Dee picture of Guldor/Maldev from Q1. I definitely plan to commission more work for him and actually have a few adventures planned AFTER the "mortal" end of my campaign, where PCs basically become new deities of my Material Plane' and deal with the multiverse.
After that--who knows. Prob retire my campaign and write it up as a novel just for s and gs (not for ANY expectation of $).
Anyhow, just my 2c. Drak is great artisan and have added much excitement to my campaign esp as it culminates in Epic level adventures.

This is ridiculously and unreasonably awesome. Just to pick out one specific thing to praise, I especially like the use of a styrofoam cooler to create an interior space. This whole thing really shows both amazing talent and massive effort, and I am duly impressed.

Also, what were those rectangular blue lights on page 1? They're very impressive.
