Some more shots from earlier in the build...
I was able to achieve a cool aged siding look, by cutting the lines in the above picture with an Xacto knife, not too deep so to breach the other side, but just enough to create separation. Then it was covered in pva glue, after glue application wait about 5-10 min then using a pencil or pen (not the writing side) create irregular depressions in the walls running horizontally
this gives the siding look pretty nicely
Here's a few early interior shots, these were taken after the skylights were installed
One interior floor option is the tile you see above, the other is a piece of fabric used to resemble carpet
Roof and shingling was made using thin card stock, assembled in strips
The car used in this shot was a 1:64th scale, which is wrong for 28mm(too small), correct or close scaling is 1:43rd which was the black truck in the pics at the top of this thread
Installing the skylights, used strips of wood as the boarders, and clear plastic as the glass, all hot glued together
Black bombed the roof, added more details to exterior, plastic strips used for the front entrance wall, which later I made removable for interior access, and photography
Added sidewalk design, started painting the roof
Added window framing with small strips of card stock, pva glued, then after drying, I came back and added another coating of pva over all cardstock
The floating xmas tree at the Gaylord National in Baltimore, MD right down the street from the new MGM casino they finished
thought that was pretty cool, so I thought I would share it
Washington DC police car, lol
couldn't pass that up after I found it OL.... again 1:43rd scale about $7 ebay
Black bombed sidewalk, and removed entrance wall
Scaling reference shot...
THE DARK DUDE IN THE WINDOW....ooooooooooooooooo
Starting the landscape feature, for the parking lot "eye sore" lol
