Ever try gluing two pieces together with White glue? I haven't yet.
Having a heck of a time trying to glue Curufin's bunk beds.
At first I tried superglue and I guess I just couldn't get enough or something.. didn't seem to hold bond. Then I tried e6000 on that and that got messy quick.. threw it away.
Then I printed another and tried hot glue.. bad idea lol. Threw that set away just because I don't like spending a lot of time cleaning up 20 cents worth of plastic.
Last one just finished printing. I suppose I need to try super glue again.

White glue doesn't work on PLA. For all my bunk beds I used E6000. Print out Wilmanric's Remix of the legs...that will make it a hundred times easier to glue.

Thanks I have the bunk beds drying with white glue right now. But it probably won't hold as you say.

I tried loctiite gel super control -- my favorite super glue. Problem is you have to use a bunch or something becasue of two wood grain surfaces touching each other. Then you have to hold it long enough at the same time have the legs the exact same distance to the floor so it isn't lop sided. Was a nightmare for me anyways.. but I am not that clever

I am talking about before your remix Easy with your remix (that curufin pointed out to me)

Loctite Gel Control super glue. Has worked great for me on PLA. Well, I recently switched to Loctite Gel Control but haven't had much luck. I don't know if its the silver PLA I am using or just PLA in general but I doesn't bond for me. I just tried it on another object and set it aside to dry. I figured 10 minutes later it would be all set. It hadn't bonded at all and the glue between the two pieces was still wet. I ended up getting it on my finger a little while I was trying to hold it. Next thing I know, in the span of about 10 seconds it had fully bonded my index finger and thumb together! I will say the bond was so good that it actually hurt trying to pull them apart and it was NOT going to come apart that way. My wife wasn't home and my kids just thought it was funny so I ended up taking a razor blade and cut them apart. So now I am missing a little skin on my thumb and have a little excess skin as well as glue on my index finger. I am no worse for the wear but it reinforces my opinion that this stuff is junk for PLA. 10 minutes and no bond to plastic, 10 seconds and death grip on skin! So i'm back to looking for a suitable glue for PLA. E6000 works but is slow, messy, and flexible. It holds but ya don't get a "hard" bond, its more flexible.

I mostly use Gorilla Super Glue and it bonds fast and hard to PLA. Sometimes it bonds a little too quickly for my taste.
