Hello all,
I am new in crafting and my main issue is about painting. I am using acrylic paints and as far as I know there are two different techniques for painting, water and dry brush. My question is about those two. When are you using water brush and when are you using dry brush. Thank you in advance.

usually it goes from very wet to dry brushing .
shadows = dark basecoat very wet to get into recessses mid tones = 100% paint or paint while wet to make some color effects like gradient. high lights = pick another brush and dip only the tip of the brush into paint and dry brush.
at least this how i do it. im average in painting. but this been working great for me.

the biggest hurdle in painting is waiting for the damn wet paints to dry. like 25 minutes usually but more like 45 if its really really wet.
before dry brushing wait for it to be really really dry though.
