So it has been a while since I have posted any of my 3-D printed items, but having just upgraded to a dual nozzle higher end printer, I thought I would share a few items and maybe give you some ideas of some useful items.
Numbered pegs of different varieties of designs. These are always great for quickly bringing in mass numbers of enemies and tracking who and what at each location. You bring in 6 orcs, well you know that blue 5 has taken a lot of damage. I especially like using the bronze filament and shining it up. This picture doesn't do it justice. Of course, add to it a printed stump, tents, a small pack horse and a owlbear and there's a challenging adventure.
It came from Miguel Zavara, but you need to be careful with his stuff. A lot of his stuff needs to be fixed before printing. I run it through a post processor and get it cleaned up before printing. Others have also cleaned up his stuff. I can't beg that he fix it since I get it for free basically, but many others have the same problem.
Wyloch sized tile as a top cap to truetile bases that I created as an stl. I then 3-d printed and painted. I need to do a little touch up on the painting, but it is my first real from scratch creation.
Some other work to add to the scrying pool. I decided to get creative since I really like Dutchmogul's scrying pool www.thingiverse.com/thing:2016098. There were several already out there such as the following links.
So I have been a little busy the past couple months. I now create a variety of my own 3D files for my own games and have gotten a lot better at it. I use Blender, XYZmaker, Meshmixer and Awesome bump to create my own files. I have now gotten to the point of figuring out how to make things able to print better and removing manifold and size issues. Most of what I make is now available on thingiverse. Here are some recent creations available.
I will create a few more picture links when I get time. I have created an additional 25 concepts and am working on 10 more that I just can't seem to get where I want them.
erho: Too many minis, not enough time... Am I right?

sgtslag: Started working on making hills, which match my Tee-Time carpet I use for my "grass mat," on my gaming table, for big battles. Got two long chunks of open-cell foam, from a friend. Used my Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter to make terrain hills out of them.
Jul 26, 2020 20:12:40 GMT
sgtslag: Came up with around 80 hills. Covering them with the same carpet, from scraps. They will match the tabletop, perfectly. Contact Cement, is my friend. Will post on it, when I get the pictures uploaded. Some prototypes done, as proof-of-concept...

sgtslag: 50 Hills completed, 24 left to cover the sides on. Hoping to finish this project within the week. Then I'll post a build description. For war gaming, but it can cross over to RPG sessions... They match the ground 'cloth', perfectly.

sgtslag: Sorry, randywest, the listed makers are the only ones I know.

sgtslag: Ran out of Hot Glue, with only five hills left to add a skirt to the sides of. Wal-Mart closes at 8:00 PM, thanks to COVID. GRRRrrr! Another 30 minutes of work, and I would have been done: ~77 hills, modular, perfectly matching my table's ground cloth!

sgtslag: Will post a write-up soon, or after next week's vacation. Cheers!
