I decided to put my transparent blue filament to another use. Ice water Heroscape Hexes! They slide in but don't link tighly, but that is ok. They are also cheap, about $0.10 to print, hehe. I am still tweaking the print setting to get the correct balance with cost/str/appearance, but even the most stoutly printed one is pretty fast/cheap. Special thanks to The White Knight on Heroscapers for the stl.

But hey, Heroscape Hexes make great Dungeon Tiles too: Die Kobolds Die! (I generally count them as two spaces or 10 feet per hex as they are 2 inches. You can bisect each hex 6 ways, so crossing a hex costs you two spaces or 10 feet; however, I am not a grid nazi, so what the hey)

I wish I could get ahold of hero's cape tiles for cheap...those things are invaluable imo...
Sadly I lost the set I had in a move.

You can get the Master sets for between $30-$40 shipped on Amazon. I just picked up Valkyrie and Morrow unboxed for $48 shipped in one lot. But you need to spend a little time hunting and scouting to get the nice deals.

Bridges! These are pretty pricey, so printing them is awesome!

I would ask to buy a few molds, but for legality issues:P

They are stls and not molds. You need a printer. They files are based on objects in a homebrew hs computer game.

Oh I know they are 3D printed. But with the basic set I can reproduce them using various casting techniques. I don't have the money to invest in the expensive printer to make them...

There is a tutorial on HeroScapers on how to create a reusable silicon mold to make your own tiles with 2-part resin.
You just need some tiles to start.

I actually just got a huge bag of heroscape tiles and minis from my local saving grace thrift store, just wanted the minis trying to get rid of the tiles.

I have created my own 3-D printable heroscapes using the original stl and creating my own tops. I really like how the stone on grass turned out. The drying baked soil, I will probably add a yellow touch. Going to leave the stones in water as they are. Not sure how to use the brick hex yet. More traditional is in the left corner.

Wow, awesome. I recommend you get on the custom forum on heroscape.com and share the files! I just went to heroscape based on the first post and grabbed their stl and did a few modifications, but if someone is interested I imagine I could share them. Not sure how to share them with others.

Its easy, sign up and post in the Stl thread, and say you have modded the single hexers (with your groovy pics). If you don't have a way to host the files, you can state that and ask is someone else will host them. Then it can be added to the Stl index (another thread).
Anyone who has the initiative and skills to mod is welcome!
