Hi guys, thanks for all the responses, loads of good pointers here, I'll address some of them here now:
Pepebe: I'm glad you like the site, I'm planning my video content to be reflective of the same style, just with moving pictures!!
1.While I do own several cats, they wont be featuring in my vids!
2.Time can be an issue for me, so I'll be attempting to do the videos in sets, that way I can put videos up as regular as possible, but I'll see how it goes
3. sort of like the above, there will be some multi part vids
4. I'll be trying to take inspiration from my blog, so I'm planning to do videos following the formats of my site (crowdfunding spotlight, Grim's modelling tips, Grim's dungeons of Doom, etc etc) but I'll no doubt add new ideas too depending.
5. Same as point two, time can be an issue for me so I'm thinking that this will be for the best
6. I already have my generic titles/end credits done, but neither are very long.Check!
7. Playlists will be added to collect the various videos. Check!
8. Subscribe to plenty of related and interesting channels. Check!
DnD Paladin: I agree, I'm under no illusion that it's going to be easy or not time consuming, I'm quite prepared to take some time to get my stuff done to a decent standard, so I wont be doing a rushed or half arsed job!
On your point on the intro, I think the one I have done already is about 13 seconds, so it should be ok.
Voodoo:
1. I agree, I won't be adding music while I address the viewer.
2. I have quite a few camera mounts I've collected, so I'm hoping that it'll give me options for shots.
3. Having both cats and kids in multiples, They wont be featuring as hopefully they will be out of the way either outside (cats) or school (kids)!
4. So far all the tests with my new cam is encouraging, but still need to test my other mic for quality, but it should be ok.
5. can't promise that I wont ramble, it is a habit of mine, but,
6. that is where some of the humor will come from, but I'm pretty sure my sense of humor will come through!
7. Intro is short, outro is reasonable, just has a couple of screens with any credits and attributions that I need to put in to cover my ass (kind of decided that most people will have signed off by then anyway!)
margaret:
1. Yup intro short. Check!
2. Yeah, I was thinking that i'm going to have to do it that way, there's usually things I need to do that involve me moving around, so if I had to keep everything in shot it'd drive me nuts and put me off what I'm doing.
3. I'll be doing my best to convey the best info i can, I'm scripting most of it so it should be reasonably fine, but I'm expecting some add lib here and there. One thing I have going for me is my Game of thrones Stark accent so here's hoping it'll garner me a few fans just for that!

I shall keep Cool music in mind, I hopefully have picked some music that is a style match with my site to keep some consistance.
I like that idea of exploring materials, sort of how I was doing expanding foam stuff, I shall think on this one for some interesting videos!
Genre will be not restricted, i hope to do some horror and scifi mini and terrain stuff in both 28mm and 15mm (I do a fair amount of 15mm scifi and zombie wargaming, so its going to feature plenty.
I also would love plenty of pretty girls in my videos, but alas I think that is out of my control! While I won't be a big feature in front of the camera, I will pop my ugly mug up from time to time, but not enough to offend! I kind of get the impression that your calling me ugly, an thats fightin' talk where I come from!!
I get what your saying though, my focus will be on the content, not just me in front of the camera.
I'd like todo some associated animation type stuff, and do have some ideas that I think will be funny that I'm planning, but you'll have to wait and see!!

So here's the question, if you could go back in time and do your channel again from scratch, what lessons would you have learned to do or not do in regards to the whole thing!!
