This is going to be a diary/discussion of some sorts based on my trials an tribulations with my lovely 3d Printer
I started by printing the basic fan shroud -
Printrbot-Getting-Started-Folder
Then I printed some feet for better stability do to its small footprint -
PrintrBot Simple Metal Better Base Feet(wider)
After that I had to order more filament which came in a much smaller spool so i had to move from the stock arm to a wall mounted holder (to be honest i could have printed a mount that would have fit but i wanted it off my printer) this is where one major problem appeared, my prints where suffering from serious banding
After some testing i found it was caused by my filament spool not fitting perfectly to the rod it was on so i printed some spacers so the filament could rest on those and spin more freely (white circles on rod)
While i was trying to figure that out i took apart the hotend and extruder motor so that i could clear a clog that had formed but when i reattached the hot end i did not push it as far into the mounting as i should and on the first run it slightly gouged my print bed not a serious amount thank god but always double check your z height after removing the hot end to keep from repeating my mistake
After all that i decided i did not like the way the wires where positioned (they appeared to be coming closer and closer to my print bed) so i printed a cable chain -
Printrbot Metal Open Cable Chain Kit
And low and behold while printing this that damn cable moved its way into my hot end
After installing the chain i decided to give it a workout and finish my k-cup holder - K-Cup Holder Suitable for printing on Printrbot Simple Metal. I was worried that it might kink or something but it worked like a champ
And as you can see all my problems have been solved for now so that is all for now check in later
