Im creating this post so 3d printing enthusiasts can post there reviews on filaments, I'll start. Printrbot Bright Blue
Price- 11.99$ (Before Shipping) Size- .5kg - 1.1lb This filament was the first and currently only filament i have used with no others to compare it to this review will be a little lacking. But that said i have had no issue with the quality of this filament, while i have not measured the diameter i can assume from the quality of my prints that it is fairly constantly 1.75mm throughout. I will post photos of all the prints when i get home for verification of quality.

When I saw the price of this one I got excited, but then realized it was for only 1/2 of the weight of the roll I just bought for $25 (free shipping from Amazon).

I am just using the one that came with the printer right now and the one I just bought has great reviews -- that's why I bought it.. so don't know how good it really is yet. The one I got was: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017REHJB4

Know of any affordable black PLA? I need some black since I'll be printing out several upgrade parts for my Monoprice Maker Select (Wanhao Duplicator I3) I'll be receiving within the next few days.

Do you guys notice less smell with Hatchbox filament? I've been using it with my new Monoprice Maker Select V2 for the past couple days at 210C and I don't smell anything.. or maybe I'm just used it now. Have it printing in the kitchen right now since I am doing so much work on it. (My kitchen table is my craft table / workbench -- lol poor table.)
Or maybe the Monoprice Architect 3D was smelly because I had the temp up at 220C? Maybe it was that filament that shipped with it.

I think it does smell less than the stuff that came with the printer.

Just thought I'd let you all know -- I bought that Ohfila filament (that wouldn't stick to the build platform) from Amazon. I filled out a refund request -- explaining the problem -- and they let me send it back at no charge and they credited my account. WIN! I turned around and bought some more Hatchbox with the money. That's one plus for purchasing from Amazon.

Started a new thread on Thingiverse, asking there about any affordable PLA they have had good experience with. www.thingiverse.com/groups/i3/topic:5538Something I just asked there now that might be useful: "..like say for instance the average diameter of the excelevan is 1.69mm like you say. The area of a 1.75mm circle is 2.405 mm. The area of a 1.69mm circle is 2.243 mm. 2.405mm/2.243mm = 1.0722 . So then just adjust Cura "Filament Flow %" to be 107.22% and save the changes to a new profile called Excelevan?"
