Been gaming since Holmes D&D. I consider myself a referee rather than a DM or GM I've been moving away from miniatures during RPG sessions, but I do a lot of miniature wargaming. I was making some hills in December and did some online searches for different paper mache methods and came across The DM's Craft channel. I enjoyed the Dungeon Crawl Classics door series. Jennifer posted on the Lead Adventure Forum and I followed her links here and was reminded of those videos I saw. My next project is a 54mm/1:32 scale desert town. Same scale as the couple inch tall plastic toy knights and skeletons Jennifer uses. Though I tend to use the figures made by model and figure manufacturers. I really like Armies in Plastic:

My first thing will be to make a non-ruined version of something like this: And walls like the ones around this buildings The cardboard and paper towel mache methods should be perfect for these.

Welcome! I use a combo of minis and theatre of the mind. I enjoy both, hell I just love D&D (pathfinder is okay too).

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've played every edition of D&D and PF and I keep going back to the 1974 edition (available for free as Swords & Wizardry). It's the worst edition to choose for players who like rules support for doing awesome things as it is totally dependent on verbal description and referee interpretation for results. It's really vulnerable to a bad DM, but if everyone gets into just describing what they do and say, it works great. I finished a prototype wall section so here's my thread in the general section: dmscraft.proboards.com/thread/3646/desert-mud-brick-town-54mm
