I picked up a few miniatures but only managed to get one painted so far. The project is just starting out so there should be more updates when I get the spare time. The campaign will be about a few hunters working for an organization who hunt(dead or alive depending) monsters or the supernatural for money. Similiar to the Monster Hunter International series, the agents work for the Commonwealth, a secret organization who deal with the supernatural. The agents missions will involve finding the monster, stopping said monster, then covering it up if any witnesses are involved to make it seem "normal". Any ideas are appreciated.

I second the Heroclix option. I picked up a bunch for a modern game that I was running and after popping them off their bases and putting them on proper 28 mm bases, they worked out great! Even stripped the paint off a bunch of them and repainted them, which worked out great! Horrorclix should give you some monsters that you would like. Take a look at either eBay or Miniature Market for some good prices!

Cool Stuff Inc. has 100 assorted Heroclix for $14.99. Here - www.coolstuffinc.com/p/200555. It is mostly supers and rather generic humans, I.E. Matt Murdock, Bruce Wayne, Bruce Banner. I got a set two years ago and was happy with them. There were only a couple repeats. There were a couple with broken weapons and arms. Most pry off the bases easily.

I'll likewise suggest Heroclix, I used some for a near-future post-apocalyptic campaign we did. Unfortunately, I can't think of too many other choices that are reasonably priced.
