Thanks, dmgullydwarf! I am delighted you enjoy the stuff. The last three Mushrooms in this batch are now sculpted: With the whole Gang: I have yet to figure out if the Mushrooms are scenery of characters. Whatever...there you have them.

Thanks, dmgullydwarf! AND Yesterday I started getting the bases ready for the Mushrooms & such: These are plastic & wood bases with florist foam covered in Woodland Scenic's Foam Putty.

Nice... I was considering how to make bases for some trees. These look like an option depends if I can get some florist foam... I’ve got to get another mushroom house started... maybe I should try making a windmill one next. My gnome village now has three mushroom buildings. One is a fish tank prop both my husband and I keep fixing up... the other two are paper over Mc Donald’s smurf houses... so they are larger and look better.

I use all sorts of things for my tree bases, usually insulation foam in lieu of the florist variety. I am plodding along with the bases & basing. At the end of yesterday, I had three bases occupied & the rest in prep mode: Closer looks at the occupied bases: More today...perhaps.

Looking great... I started another Gnome building... the gnome buildings are all Mushroom Architecture, I am using parts of smurf houses but modifying them... Eventually I will run out of smurf houses but by then I will have experimented sufficiently with different stuff to just keep on building.

Modifying/converting thins is a great way to have something unique & uniquely your own. Have FUN with it all, dmgullydwarf!

You are a phenomenon, Alan. You churn out these little pieces of art in a way that brings a swiss clockwork to mind. Each Tick and each Tack is a little wonder. I admire you for so much discipline! After years of posting hundreds of creations myself, you're the one that keeps me coming back every few days to this lonely and sad place. I still fully intend to get back into crafting - my craft desk is right behind my PC and full of unfinished projects - but life has me firmly in it's grips, so for now, other stuff has temporarily become more important. Which will change, sooner or later - and then the crafting will continue.

Which will change, sooner or later - and then the crafting will continue. This happens periodically to us all. Your need to create will assert itself over the boredom of Cruel Reality. My camera is pretty much dead & her replacement is stuck in Covid limbo, but I will get some pics up as I can. It was a struggle, but I got the broken camera to take a couple of photos of the Mushrooms in the works. Here are the Devil's Cup Trio: With a close up of the most complete of the three: Until the next time I go into phot withdrawal syndrome.

One of the new cameras arrived today. SOI started figuring out how it works...they keep getting more complicated or I am getting dumber...both are viable possibilities. The arrival coincided with the completion of another Mushroom pair: The pics should get better with practice.

Those pics are brilliant, and not only because of the better lighting!

I like how you made the interior of the devil's cup shiny Thanks, margaret. I am happy you like the effect. The real cup mushrooms tend to accumulate moisture in the cup cap; SO making the shiny seemed a good idea. I finished the third of three new Devil's Cups this morning: I will see if I can coax the Old Camera into doing some photo stage pics later.

'A little less contrary'... Can't tell you how much I love that new critter. That creature is like an ettin turned into a mushroom. I'd sooo love to roleplay this one!

I am happy you like them...they do have an Ettin look to them. I will have to send you some more Mushrooms. It has been quite awhile. I started painting up the next two Faerie Fellow earlier today. They are quite a bit larger than my normal 28mm minis. The change is refreshing & easier on my old eyes. Have a good evening!
