perhaps a solution to solo DM/play is to come up with a D&D set of Shadows of Brimstone type cards for determining the dungeon layouts and monsters used , aswell as the treaure found .

perhaps a solution to solo DM/play is to come up with a D&D set of Shadows of Brimstone type cards for determining the dungeon layouts and monsters used , aswell as the treaure found . That is a common way that some of the solo-able rules can be run, but THW 2 Hour Dungeon Crawl and Legacy let the dice roll determine all that for you. I like the dice rolls better than having to keep track of the cards. Although I do have a couple rule sets that I play occasionally that do use the cards. In my warped mind the dice method is easier.

Ebbles miniatures did a game called. Gun Crawl that is free to download. It contains rules for solo play. Should not be too hard to adapt.

2 hour wargames has a pretty good set of free rules . A little lean but you get the flavor.

I live in the SW corner of Missouri. Smack in the middle of the Ozarks, Redneck Heaven! These people think that good beer is Bud Light!!!!!!! I can't even get a game of Chess that doesn't include the words, "King me!" How close to Branson?

I like 2HDC. I just ordered Warriors Hero's and Legends for a planned campaign. What did you change?

I've got the 2 Hour Wargames zombie rules and have considered using them to run games at the local convention. Need to make some terrain for a board to use at the con, then I'll run them there!
I do like the way 2 Hour Wargames rules makes it so you could run this completely solo!

I have 8 2HW rule sets. I'm a huge fan. The WW2 rules are my favorites. The solo ability is what sold me. The Pirate rules look cool.

I am tinkering with alternate spell schools, force, fire, acid, cold, lighting, and thunder cold was a bit overpowered I think I worked out some kinks, I'll try them tonight, before dnd and see if they need more. I'm just going to redo the fight, keeping the same people (just ran into the big bad, but it was at 3+ party level, so 8 ratmen)

Careful, those Ratmen can be a handful. Tweaking here and there will be a nice expansion. Just keep an eye on the balance.

Tried it out again, TPK but the cold spells that hit me worked out better, some of it was bad dice rolls, I think it was in both cases my dwarven fighter was OD turn 1, and and then like turn 3 the thief was OD anyone that went down before the healer fell was OD

Warhammer Quest can be played solo, but only if you can find the damn game. It goes for ridiculous money whenever I find it. Although if you can find the rules somewhere you can make the tiles (it's one of the driving factors here), find miniatures (Reaper Bones would suit nicely, and not be too expensive), and make doors to replace everything in the game.
Hell, I've always suspected DMG was making his tiles as a replacement for the ones in Warhammer Quest. Of course his are cooler, and more varied. I wonder if he's considered making cards for his tiles.

Paper models are cheaper than reaper.
So are lots of MageKnight.

I pick up a lot of MageKnight and re-base them. If Warhammer Quest is that expensive, I might pass on it. kgstanley81, when your happy with your mods let me know what your doing. I'd like to five them a try.
