I don't even know where to begin, so I just say ...wow!
I see lots of hotglue texture, but can you tell us what's beneath that? Did you use some toy as basis or did you sculpt it from scratch?

+3 for a tutorial... [Picks jaw up from floor, re-inserts it into head, adjusts, makes sure it still works...] Wow! That is sooo cool!
Now I am thinking about such things for my BattleSystem mass combat games. It would be fun to use a creature like this in an army battle on the tabletop -- it would get more mileage there, than in my RPG sessions. Quite the inspiration! Thank you!

Even a brief description of materials and the steps would be helpful, brutis140. Amazing creation! This needs to be shared!

The Turtle itself was created using a tinfoil armature underneath to add bulk without using to much clay. I use Super Sculpey oven bake polymer clay (although air dry clay would work as well) to sculpt details although I boil sculptures as an alternative to the oven. The detail I put into the sculpt before cooking is very minimal. I like to add most of the detail using DMScotty's glue gun texturing technique. The base is an 1/8th inch piece of doorskin plywood with white glue and sand painted on the surface. The other parts like the seat on the back and the rings were shown in TheDMG's videos to craft furniture and the grass is from one of DMScotty's where he makes stackable stones.
Sorry for the late and somewhat rushed overview and I hope hit helps everyone. Cheers!

Tinfoil is a good cheap/poseable option i hadn't though of, and I had no idea you could boil clay instead of baking it. Helpful overview, thanks for the quick response
