i had bought mageknight back then... it was the next best thing after heroquest. so i know about it, but somehow until recently i wasn't seeing a thing in mageknight.
just so you guys knows.. im thinking sabertooth would make a great wendigo ! along with the wendigo itself that is.

Mandarin with a repaint would make a pretty good merchant, nobleman, or *sigh* a wizard.
Angel would make a pretty good Angel, with the appropriate scultping.
Arc Angel... prolly good for a fallen angel... or clip the wings for an inevitable.
*shrug*

Thanks for all the good ideas, put in a big order of 80 or so figs so we shall see what comes out of it. Tried to think about enemies and monster types, picked up copperhead for either lizard men or maybe kobolds depends on their actual size when I get them and Frankensteins I was planning on using as zombies, but we'll take a look after they are stripped

I just picked up 20. Figured I could use them as Slaanesh themed Harpies in my 40K Chaos Daemons Army as well as maybe see some D&D use. They are a great price. I'm starting to feel like maybe the Miniatures Market owes me some free minis at this point. If you repaint them I'd love to see what you do with them. It only took me 2 1/2 years to get around to basing and painting them  Chaos Daemons Furies of Slaanesh.

I think he produced his last video more than a year ago. I, too, miss his videos, and his posts. I wish him well. Cheers!

actualy , most of the older mageknight sculpts werent as bad as they looked if you strip and repaint them . many are especially useful for parts , and the "dungeons" sets were mostly monsters that can be easily kitbashed into something suitably grotesque . Hell, several of the original run ones are actually pretty good with just a few touchups. The first and second run of the first set, and possibly the first of the second set along with most of the visible boxed sets (Ones where you could see the minis inside of the packaging) were quite well done. The later ones were where it seemed like the care put into it went downhill while the clear box ones maintained it because people could see them and the added cost was enough from the advertising they did to cover their smaller numbers. I recently found the old box of some first run ones I'd gotten right when the game released and been rebasing them. A wash and a few touchups and they look quite good. The only issue is with a few of the weapons, they turned fragile. One I managed to find a new weapon to replace it and the other actually looked better without it since the design looked a lot better as a monk...

According to some posts on youtube, he got a job driving a truck long distance, so is away most of the time. Good news is that he has recently posted that he got a local truck driving job, so might be able to put up new videos soon.

The Mage Knight 2.0 releases are harder to find but are more robust and more uniformly sculpted.
The same thing can be said for any Mage Knight model that was released in the Rebellion set and then later re-released in the unlimited set. The unlimited sculpt will be a bit harder to find but will be of higher quality.
That said, the monsters and golems from any set are usually well done.
The elves and goblins from the early sets are soo thin they often break or lack significantly sculpted detail. The elves in the later sets (unlimited onward) are more like Warhammer miniatures in scale and sculpt. The Orcs prior to 2.0 are a bit comical in their proportions, and the ones from 2.0 on are more serious looking.

Glad to see you back. May we expect to see more of your entertaining videos, or is that chapter closed? I realize they take a very great deal of time, and effort. Cheers!
