Still searching for the "Buy this DM a BEER" button. Wonderful creation. My Phandalin has been someone else's map on a plasma TV screen (complete with dry erase mark-up) and Red Brands, Cragmaw, and first cave have been dry erase on a grid. I finally went "all-out" on Thundertree and used an upside down movie drink cup painted black for the tower, and dominoes to show the fallen walls of ruined Thundertree homes. My forte is definitely in adding storyline (to the tune of cottage industries of collecting Hotenow's volcanic ash for Roman Concrete and pumice for various abrasive needs). I am always wowed by how much DMs put into their games, and this is one of my favorites of all time. Active game coming up this next month. Please note that your work is inspiring DMs to this day.....5 years after the starter kit was published!!!

Hi, I'm starting to play for the first time D&D. I bought the Lost Mine of Phandelver Starter Set .I would like to know where can I find the models to print using the 3D printer. I'm going to start playing this game with my wife and daughter and I would like to have a model terrain or map in order to create a better experience for them .I just started printing the adventures for them .
Thank you in advanced.

Hey!
I use Thingiverse.com mainly, as its mostly free stuff, but Cults3D.com has some but the really nice ones are for sale.
If you need any pointers for a resin printer Id be glad to help. I think Ive seen every problem there is to be had with these things! lol

I also search Thingiverse for the free stuff, but will buy/contribute to the artists when I find a model I really like. I'm also a patron of One Page Rules on myminifactory. I've looked at other artists on myminifactory, but I've only got so much money to spend! LOL!

Miguel Zavela's 3D files for all the 'monsters' [including things like cultists and horses] listed for D&D at that time are still available at Shapeways [ www.shapeways.com/designer/mz4250/creations ] [remove the brackets and front and end spaces if they insist on accompanying the URL when you copy and paste it]. Most of them [the ones that say they are not buyable at DMGuild] are free. A few you must purchase if you want them. Instructions for making a free Shapeways account so you can download are posted at that URL. You can also find him via Thingiverse, which will take you to his Shapeways postings. As I recall, one of the posters here commented that some of the more complicated files needed a bit of fixing in Cura or something like that because the nodes weren't optimized, but his stuff is still a major resource. [Probably got the terms all wrong there since I don't own a 3D printer yet, but it gives the general idea]
