One major thing you ought to consider with turning them out, get a heavy layer of a craft paint and run it along the edges of the foam core pieces before your prime it if you're using the spray. It works very well to prevent other issues with melting of the foam from it...namely some of the trapped solvent can collapse channels back into it in ways that can wreck your hard work. If you mix some paint, white glue/mod podge, and a bit of sand to do so, the edges look a lot more weathered.

One thing you might want to do in order to add to it is take a piece of sponge and some of the flame colors that are exceedingly watered down and work it across the stonework to make a more lighting effect. It's one of the things that is very noticeable here in that the fire is bright, but it doesn't illuminate anything around it like fire should.

You probably ought to include a link to the light tubes as well.

watching that I couldn't stop thinking that you could fit a mico limit switch in the inside of your clip-ons to automatically turn on leds, etc. of course I don't really use that system my self so I though I'd pass it along

Your clip-ons are always so inspiring! I particularly like the maps in this set.

You might want to add a few layers of gloss over the crystals, it would help make them look more like crystals.

Tried it; wasn't a fan. YMMV.
