The Fountain of Pisces

So, I bought a bag of assorted beads that has some ocean-themed beads in it.

I decided to make a topper for a fountain.

I covered a one-inch washer with cardstock, then hot-glued two fish to it.  I twisted up some aluminum foil and stuck a piece in each fish's mouth.  I then covered the foil with hot glue and added a small piece of foil on each stream for splashes.  Then I painted it.  I'll have to make a big pool in which to place it!  It'll probably have a spot for inter-changeable toppers.  Maybe I'll make Aquarius, too!

The whole thing is about four inches long from the ends of the streams.

The base is a one-inch washer. I should've added a mini for scale. I'll remember that for next time!

I'm also going to add some varnish to the streams, so they look wet!

the washer is 1 inch, so its already giving us the size of the thing...

its probably near the height of a medium sized mini maybe a tad bit higher. and its about 4 times the size of a mini on the width.

have you put varnish ont he water ?
i also think your water should be a bit more blue. unless you want it to be really really unnatural.
that said, its a nice find. and i like the fact that you just need to put that on any pool of water.
now thats modularity.

I haven't varnished it yet, but I plan to. I just noticed that the whole picture is kinda reddish. I think it's the lighting. The streams are blue, the statue is gray. This may be a what-color-is-the-dress situation.

I'm all about modularity. I'm going to construct a fountain-pool with space for any fountain I make. Each big city should have a fountain, especially when magic is involved!
