Nicely done, and nice demonstration of the varied terrain you can create.

Small spaces may inspire wonderful solutions! The simplicity of this belies its elegance. It is very easy to imagine many different scenarios from the three arrangements you presented in the post, and they are quite inspiring. If I've done the math right, it looks like there are 4,096 possible tile arrangements. Of course that number does not factor out duplicate arrangements, or mirror image landscapes... Kudos, Muze!

Oh, my! My calculations need refinement... In a 2X3 matrix configuration there would be 6!*(4^4) possible arrangements, for... 720*256=184,320. Each tile could be set: the first in any of the 6 spaces available, the second in any of the five remaining, the third in any of the four remaining, the fourth in any of the three remaining, and fifth in any of the two remaining, leaving one to place, then four tiles each have four orientations possible. That makes for a lot of possible combinations. Less is more! Very cool, Muze. Like your name-sake, you have inspired!

Very creative. Excellent solution for a small space. I can imagine other variations of this terrain, with waterways, rounded hills etc..
