Since we have had a couple of great themes or big projects such as the haunted site and the Orc series, maybe we could have one or two Egyptian/Pyramid themed videos? I know that Pathfinder has had a recent series set with those motifs, so I'm very interested in what Scotty could teach us, or suggest!

While not fully Egyptian, this thread has some interesting builds...

At one point, we had a forum member from I believe Brazil. He had done a couple Egyptian style pieces, including a pyramid...total bad-assery. Anybody from the prior forum remember who it was or if his builds made it to the current forum?
*Update: Damn, I'm quick! Forum Member's name was/is Luciano, and while the pics are no longer on the old forum, I found a link to his reveal on youtube.....definitely worth a look!

You can find some rather good bits and pieces for messing with foamboard at some of the school supplies stores that focus on things for teachers. Some of the really interesting things like the roll on stamps are hard enough that you can emboss with it which can be painted over similar to Scotty's door of durin for heiroglyphics. Unfortunately, a good chunk of the iconic things like the proper sarcophagus are ones you'd still likely need to buy if you want them to look right.
For structures, you want the stone cut and it works well to start with a bright yellow over black and then work down the colors with drybrushing rather than the normal methods of working them with lighter and lighter ones.
