Yes adamantinedragon, that really is some incredible work! Such an easy way to build up that creature count. I need to start doing a little "Frankensteining" myself.

Adamantinedragon, what a collection. Nice crafted, I know how long it takes;-) You've been exalted for all your hard work. I bought some stuff from these guys cheap. They have a mixed selection of both Fantasy, Sci-fi and Modern miniatures. Some of them prepainted. www.em4miniatures.com/

Took a look at Reaper and they have some AWESOME stuff. Like that most of what I see is stuff I can paint myself, too. Good prices, but I still have a dream of getting dollar a piece minis. That being said, I'll pay any price for this upcoming Lich... The moment I saw this all the pleasure centers in my brain started firing off. Took me a while to discover this post, and connect it with the context of the thread... If you like flying minitures and want to make'em yourself, you might want to take a look at the swooping ghosts. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 even more... ...and more. The idea can be applied to standing creatures and even used for generic fly stands that can be used as spellmarker for, well, flying creatures.

I still love the gw lord of the rings minis. The brothers that originally sculpted them are true artists. I like that they do not have giant hands. I've purchased many over the last few years. You can get them "somewhat" cheaper on eBay now that gw has re released a bunch. The detail on them is exquisite which is important for me since I spend more time painting than playing. I sell some of it on eBay and use the proceeds to get more/different stuff. That being said, reaper bones are getting better all the time, and the d and d adventure board games come with TONS of miniatures. If you watch eBay, you can get a new or nearly new one for 40-50$ and they come with around 40 minis each. Also cardstock flat dungeon tiles which can be adapted for regular d and d.
